about

'Where You've Been' is the first track from Zurich's 2nd EP which will be released later this year. This latest offering tackles the issue of mental health and features the wonderful up-and-coming singer-songwriter Dolly Mavies - the first collaboration track Zurich have made since releasing their critically acclaimed debut EP 'Small Wars' in late 2015.

Zurich ended 2017 with various festival shows, including Cornbury and headlining Charlbury Riverside Festival in Oxfordshire. November saw the band touring Hong Kong and China, bringing their brand of gloom rock to a new audience.

'Where You've Been' shows Zurich venturing into more electronic territory, a feature that will be explored in more songs from the new record.

lyrics

I hold you like fire inside my hands
Watching you spark and turn
You only desire what's in your head
And now in the dark you burn

You can stay here now 'cos
I know where you've been
Cling to side of the ship
I'll take you to parties where you can learn to live

You watch as the vultures circle in
Dousing the fire & flames
She kicks in the dirt without a care
Where nobody knows your name.

The light in the tunnel burns
And though the sparks still hurt
Know this can't get any worse
I can pull you from the ashes
and watch you rise like a phoenix
I've always been here
In the shadows.
